(Al-An'aam) 6 : 165

He is the One Who has made you vicegerents on earth, and He raised some of your ranks above some of the others to test you in what He has provided to you; indeed your Lord is swift in torment, and indeed He is the Forgiving, Merciful.

Mankind created in the Paradise is deputed to the earth to act as vicegerent of Lord. It is told in verse 2: 38 that Lord has told mankind to get down from Paradise, if they receive the Guidance from Him, then anyone who follows His Guidance, there shall be no fear upon them, and for them will not be grieved.Every individual is given age, health, wealth, knowledge, influence, grade, opportunities, sons and daughters, family, tribe, intelligence, etc., in different quantity and condition. The verse says that all these are given so in order to undergo them for trial with whatever everyone is provided with. See explanation 2: 148. All these diversities are essential for the existence of mankind as well as other living things. Everyone is assigned with the responsibilities and duties according to the favours everyone is provided with. Since the life of mankind includes both the life of this world and the Hereafter, the Impartial and Justice Lord considers and evaluates about everyone how much he/she has fulfilled his/duty on the basis of the favour he/she is provided with. It is told in verse 49: 13 that Oh, Mankind! We have created you from a male and female, and We have made you into different nations and tribes to identify each other; indeed, the most honourable among you are the most heedful among you. Indeed, Allah is the All-Knower, the Acquainted.

The aim of life is to prepare Paradise utilising all favours which one has not brought at the time of birth and won’t take back at the time of death under the light of Adhikr-the Light. But one in thousand believer who will go to the Paradise will only fulfil the aim of life. It is told in verse 102: 8 that on that Day everyone will be questioned about all his favours. See explanation 2: 30, 62; 3: 185,199; 4: 32, 118; and 6: 53.
